Through Word of Mouth is a documentary created to provide education and information to students, young activists, community organizers, and POC communities. The project is focused around interviews, conversations, and art that explores how individuals and communities can use their resources and relationships to one another to organize for equitable and sustainable systems.
Our Goals
Our primary aim is the establishment of collective liberation. We aim to do this by supporting and facilitating racial equity, community sustainability, food access, and a culture of self-care. This project joins communities together through the spread of information across cultures and communities throughout the US.

Our Values
Through Word of Mouth uplifts communities and activists by amplifying the experiences of those on the ground. This website is designed to function not only a reference point for the documentary's progress, but a platform for community access and information exchange as well.

We seek to build a movement that is all-inclusive and transformative. Through Word of Mouth is a dynamic network of storytellers, artists, musicians, activists, students, and cooperators. Unlike a cooperative, there is no buy-in; to become apart of our growing network, all that is required is a contribution of your institutional, historical, or personal knowledge to our archive of information.

Through Word of Mouth prioritizes the voices of PoC, immigrants and Dreamers, the working class, and young people. We reject stories that exclude any group based on bias or uplift oppression through racism, fascism, classism, ageism, transmisia, homomisia, or any other means. Anyone can petition to be a moderator of the website, and anyone can submit think pieces, videos, and stories to our blog section (coming soon)!
