CoFED is an organization that is intentionally multiracial, multicultural, and multiclass and one that is led by people of color, Native people, poor people, LGBTQ individuals, immigrants and women. CoFED's mission is to build a youth-led movement for food justice & co-ops! Since 2011, CoFED has developed 11 new cooperative projects, trained over 500 students on over 60 campuses, and cultivated a community of nearly 4,000 supporters. CoFED has sponsored Through Word of Mouth since its inception in May 2017 as part CoFED's yearly Racial Justice Fellowship, and continues to work in partnership with Through Word of Mouth to center the stories and experiences of young people in the movement for collective liberation.
The New Economy Coalition is a network of organizations that work together to support the emerging movement to change our society and the world. NEC advocates for a society rooted in justice, sustainability, and democracy.
Justice: A new economy must work for all people, starting with those who have historically been marginalized and exploited by racism, imperialism, classism, patriarchy, and other systems of oppression.

Sustainability: A new economy supports regeneration of both human and natural systems. It builds community resilience by rooting wealth and power in place and in service of human needs on a finite planet.

Democracy: A new economy incorporates democratic principles into the management of economic and civic life.
